It’s finally here!! March Break! I am super excited, although to be honest, I have so many things on my ‘to-do’ list that I am stressing about fitting it all in.
It’s not because I try to keep super busy over the break, it’s mostly because with my son being in school full time, I’m really noticing how much I’ve been missing him, how busy our schedules have become and so on. So while I want to plan fun outings that he’s missing out on when at school, I also want days where we can stay in pjs and just relax at home.
This balance is proving tricky this year!
However, there’s no shortage of March Break activities to do in Ottawa (the deciding is the hard part!) I don’t have to look any further than my blog advertisers to find a list of things that are going on.
For starter’s, one of the kids’ favourite places is the Children’s Museum. Attached to the Museum of Civilization, this museum is likely the most hands on I’ve seen in the city. At the Museum of Civilization is also the IMAX theatre, playing family friendly (and shhh educational) films that will entice viewers of all ages. The movies run at a shorter length than traditional theatre films, so you won’t have difficulty holding anyone’s attention! Check out the website for the various times each show is playing.
TIP: Pre-Buy your tickets online and avoid the line ups at the museum!
Currently playing at the IMAX theatre are two movies I definitely want to check out – Flight of The Butterflies and The Last Reef. Both are in 3D.
Check out the trailers below.
Meanwhile, the Children’s Museum and Museum of Civilization is jam packed with March Break activities. Get crafty and hands-on, play I Spy in Canada Hall and more! Maybe I’ll see you there 🙂
