When serving a white fish, I usually try to add a bit of flavour without changing the delicious, subtle flavour that a fish like Halibut already has. Many fish don’t need much additional flavour, and certainly not something too strong. However, once and a while I want a pop of of extra taste, so that’s why I recently made and added a simple nectarine salsa to my dish.
This recipe can’t get much easier, and I think it could even be added as a topper for chicken. Enjoy!
Nectarine Salsa
Ingredients
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp diced red onion
2 tsp chopped roasted red pepper
1 nectarine, finely diced
Combine sugar and vinegar until the sugar has mostly dissolved. Add diced onion, roasted red pepper and nectarine.
Mix. Allow to rest for a few minutes for serving.
