With the new year comes new goals, plans and aspirations. I love this time of year for that. While I find it hard getting back into routine after a lazy few weeks, I do like staring into the year and seeing potential.
Bloggers and friends are sharing their one word or three words that they are using to guide and motivate them in 2013.
Have you chosen yours?
This is where I get stumped. I want to say words like love, happiness, joy, kindness – but I try to live those each day. I want those words to be part of my being, not just my year.
What about risk, adventure, perseverance? Those are relevant but I’m not feeling them this year.
So where does that leave me? What word or words will I look to this year as I push forward?
I’ve been thinking about it for a while and have few answers.
I will simply start the year with the following: Do.
Simple. Incomplete, but accurate. Do more, do better. Just Do. I feel I’m a person who enjoys life and is genuinely happy, but sometimes fear, circumstances and life get in the way of me trying something new, signing up for the cooking class, going to do the gym. So this year, I will put it aside and simply DO.
What are you words?
