Look at how busy Ottawa-Orleans is this weekend!
Just a quick note with some updates you may be interested in:
This weekend is the Orleans Festival. It takes place at Shenkman Arts Centre and Centrum and has something for everyone – fun activities for the kids, an iron chef competition, art exhibit and sale and more. The Farmers’ Market will be there as usual (so you probably can find me there!) It takes place Friday June 1 until Sunday June 3.
Also in Orleans this weekend is the Ottawa Infant Information Day at South Fallingbrook Community Centre. I went to this event each time I was pregnant and always found really useful information, products or opportunities as a new mom. I’ll be there in the morning hanging out with the new owner of momstown Ottawa! Please swing by to say hello and learn what momstown is all about (I think you’ll love it!).
Meanwhile, around Ottawa it’s Doors Open Ottawa. Over 100 of the area’s architectural and historically interesting buildings will open their doors and welcome visitors for free. This is a really neat way to check out buildings in the city that you see or drive by and want to know more about. Plus, there are museums on the list! You can see the full list of participating buildings here.
Still looking for something to do? How about going to see the Ottawa Fat Cats or visiting one of my favourite places that’s a short drive from Ottawa (and includes a bakery and ice cream!)
Have a great weekend!!
