Registration is now open for Summer Camp at the Canadian Museum of History (formerly the Museum of Civilization).
Children aged 6-10 can register for fascinating days at the Museum. 5 days a week, from 9 am until 4 pm (before and after care is available, although additional costs apply) your kids can immerse themselves in Museum curation and exhibiting.
From the website, here is the camp description:
Stuffed toys, hockey cards, rocks, seashells… kids love collecting all kinds of little treasures.
At this camp, children learn how museums decide what to collect, how they create fascinating exhibitions and how they house and take care of the precious artifacts in a national collection. They’ll meet experts and get exclusive, behind-the-scenes museum access while participating in fun-filled activities.
Working in teams, children will build, restore and preserve an inspiring collection. They’ll also learn to share the stories of interesting objects by organizing their very own exhibition for everyone to see. Is your young collector up to the challenge?
Now imagine what they can do in their rooms after a week at the Museum!
