Disney World was a magical vacation for our family. We spent last week surrounded by smiles, princesses, rides and sun and we loved every minute of it.
If you followed along on Instagram or Twitter via my #bitofdisney hashtag, you’ll have caught some glimpses of our trip. What I didn’t post were the faces of my children smiling and in awe of our experiences. This is when I wish I would just post their faces on the blog because each smile captures our moments so vividly. My heart would swell every time I watched them react to things.
I’m going to try and create a post with some helpful tips and advice in case you are planning a trip, but the short story for this post is that we truly made magical memories that really will last a lifetime. My parents joined us and we got to relive some of my own childhood memories from when they took us in the 90s plus they were able to bond with my kids over Let it Go and pirate swords.
I’m stumbling into this week, I will admit, trying to re-establish some routine and accept that fact that another ride, show or snack is not available at every turn. Plus, the cold weather. Oh my goodness, it’s so cold! We had perfect weather the entire week we were in Florida. It’s a bit of a shock wearing winter coats again.
I am grateful that we were able to take the kids and experience such a fun trip with them and while I think they will remember this trip fondly, I think Andy and I will hold these moments even closer to our hearts.
Aww, I’m so glad that you all had a fabulous, magical time! Happy too that you are home safe and sound though I’m sure a lot chillier! You timed your visit to FL well, it’s getting much cooler in the coming weeks 🙁
