We had plans to head out with my sister and her family this afternoon, but she had to bail, so the Man and I still wanted to take the kids somewhere. We decided on the Museum of Science and Technology here in Ottawa.
Of course, we’d been there many times before (we have a membership) but we love it, it’s great on a rainy day, easy stroller access and, most importantly, the Boy adores it. He loves the trains, the big boat steam engine and the space section where he can see ‘eart’.
What makes it most special is how we get to learn and see these things through his eyes. How excited he gets at the size of the train wheels or when he goes in the rocket. Love it.
If you haven’t been, you really should check it out. Even if the kiddies are little, it’s a great experience. Better yet, think about getting a membership. A membership gets you into this museum, the Agriculture museum (one we visit monthly) and the Aviation museum, plus invites to special events and other deals. If you buy it now, they have a special where you get 2 months free.
A few family visits and it won’t take long to get your money back, plus, the memories and experience is priceless.
