The last time I tried a Pinterest activity it was a success when judging it on function, but a failure on looks. You can recap the post here.
This time I tried 2 recipes from Pinterest. How did they turn out? Let’s see:
The first was a roast pan chicken. The original pin:

The idea was to roast your chicken using a bundt pan, add veggies and have everything ready to go.
Did it work?
Yes, mostly. The skin was crispy and the chicken ended up being really moist. The only thing I would change: I wouldn’t include my veggies in the main part of the bundt pan. The juices gathered there which meant most of my veggies were coated in chicken grease. I would put the veggies on the cookie sheet that I put the bundt pan on, and the pan would collect all of the liquid for a quick stove top gravy.
Don’t forget to move the oven rack down to make room for the tall chicken!
The other Pin I tried was a chocolate chip cookie dough ‘dip’ made with chick peas that was supposed to taste like cookie dough.

Did it work?
Yes and no. I could certainly tell the fact that it was chick peas in there. Consistency wasn’t bad, it was very similar to my cookie dough, but for me, the chick pea taste was hard to get over.
When dipped with cookies or apples, it was quite good, better than on it’s own and a very interesting way to hide chick peas!
In the future, I might tweak it to use less chick peas which might suit my tastes more.
Have you tried any pins lately?
I have used the freezer “thaw indicator” that I found on Pinterest, and I have done the noodles in weiners recipe that was so prolific.
Other things like the rubber band around a cut apple for lunches, and putting pipe cleaners and a colander down in front of my son on a rainy day are great Pinterest finds.
