If you’re a long time reader of this blog, you know how much I love the museums we have in this city. The Canada Agriculture Museum is one of our favourites. The fact that this former farm girl could take her suburban kids to an actual farm in the city was a big deal for me when I became a parent.
Our kids love going each year and checking out the animals, the grounds and the exhibits. We are really fortunate to be able to go and enjoy learning and living at the Farm.
Not all children get this chance though, and my good fortune is especially made clear to me when I think about how much fun my own kids have. But I want more kids to pet the sheep and learn about milking cows. That’s why I love the Museum’s program to raise money for kids to go to camp or visit the Farm that otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
Baskets With Panache is one of their major fundraisers. This fun-on-the-farm silent auction and entertaining evening will be held on June 19 at the Museum. I am so pleased to have been invited back again after going a couple of years ago. It’s a really wonderful evening for a good cause.
Check out the website for full details on the gastronomical delights that will be there, how you’ll be entertained and why this event is so important.
My friends at the Canada Agriculture Museum are giving away two tickets to Baskets With Panache to one lucky winner!

We love all of the weekend festivals and special events. We just went to the Sheep Shearing Festival this past weekend. We also love Easter on the Farm and the Ice Cream Festival. The kids love the play structures and I love the baby goats.
Congrats Holly!! I’ll be emailing you to get contact information for the tickets. See you at the event!
The Agriculture Museum is a favourite place to visit year round! Our membership is one of the best family items we buy annually. Tops picks from the kids are the playground, seeking out a labouring cow/finding the newest calf, and hoping the line up for the tractor simulator ride is not too long!
I have been keen to attend Baskets with Panache for a few years and hope this is the year!
I’ve always loved the museum, it was a fond field trip in school and it’s still a fun place to visit, even as an adult! Not sure where to take your nieces or nephews? Who doesn’t like animals! It’s perfect!
My dad was involved with the Baskets with Panache a few years back and I remember him talking fondly about it, it’s such a neat event!
As a family we are so happy at the Agriculture museum. The new building is a wonderful space! The sheep shearing festival with the sheep dogs is always loved.
Attending Baskets with Panache would give us a chance to give back and we would like to do more of that.
