I love when there are things from my childhood that suddenly re-enter my life. This is how I felt when I saw that Fred Penner is coming to Shenkman Arts Centre on April 22.
Did you watch Fred Penner’s Place when you were younger? My siblings and I often had it on! Music and that kind of kids’ show were a great way to hang out and relax. I can’t remember if it was on in the morning or after school, but I do remember watching it during the months when I didn’t have school. Go on YouTube and listen to the opening song. It all comes back!
I’m happy to share with you that Fred Penner is coming to Ottawa! The show is taking place on April 22 and I love that ahead of the 1 pm start time, there is an activity station that will be set up beginning at noon in partnership with the Ottawa School of Art. You child can bring a blank black t-shirt and screen print a special cat design. Remember the song The Cat Came Back? If you don’t bring a t-shirt stop by and it can be printed on paper.
The Orleans Young Players will also have a dress up photo booth set up so there’s a lot for families to take in before the show even begins!
