You know when your kid realizes there is a certain toy that they must have. RIGHT NOW. But you have no idea where it is.
And so they cry and beg you to find it, because apparently their entire life’s happiness relies on playing with this toy RIGHT NOW.
So you start looking desperately for it, even though you have no idea where to begin. After many many long minutes you finally give up and explain that you can’t find it.
However, this isn’t acceptable to the crying child and again they relay to you with much drama the necessity that this toy brings to ensuring their joy.
Not wanting to hear these cries, you try again. Tearing apart the strangest places looking.
Much time passes and you realize that this may be a lost cause but you are persistent because your child’s happiness is THAT important to you and even though there are a gazillion other things you should be doing, you keep searching.
More time passes but suddenly, in the weirdest of places you discover said toy and a choir of angels sing and you want to scream ‘BEST PARENT EVER!’.
You bring the golden toy to your child, waiting for the glorious recognition and praises of love you deserve.
You pass the toy to your child and in a split second – They throw the toy aside, having moved on (likely ages ago) and not really caring about that toy.
Ya. That.
(children are funny 😉
Ha! Oh my god, I can totally relate to this!
