Because SCIENCE!

sponsored post large

We spent the summer a couple of years ago watching as many Magic School Bus episodes on Netflix as we could (there’s more listed there now thank goodness!)

The kids, both my son and daughter, really fell in love with it, and I felt very nostalgic.  While both of my kids are really into science, my daughter seemed to especially get hooked on the series.  When I found a series of Magic School House books at a local consignment store, I was happy to pick them up for her.  She enjoys reading them and learning new words.  She is very curious and I think Magic School Bus helps satisfy some of those big questions that she has.

Hands on science is best I think. Because of cause and effect, kids really react (and learn) when they can see what happens during a science experiment, but I love that we can supplement those learning moments with educational shows that encourage them to ask even more questions.

Netflix has other science shows like Cosmos which might be a little bit too much for my kids at this age, but I can’t wait to watch it with them when they get older.

Want an easy but fun science experiment to do with younger children? Try this colour-mixing activity that I have on the blog!

Are your children excited about science? Happy experimenting!

Disclosure: I am a member of the Netflix #streamteam and receive special perks however, opinions are my own. Science is fun!
